We are, Tricia and Jem Morley an old married couple of 25 yrs who love our dogs
Our affix TRIJEM is a combination of both our first names thus showing our dedication to our beloved dogs.
I, Tricia am very much involved in all areas of the breed, I am currently Chairman of the National Australian Shepherd Association. This involvment in the breed club helps me to give back to the breed by educating others as well as helping run events so all can enjoy this wonderful breed.
Whilst I mainly show my dogs in conformation, I love the fact that these wonderful dogs can turn their paw at any dog sport offered to them, the club's shepherding day , has to be my favourite day of the year.
I was introduced to the breed whilst a teenage living in America, then very much into horses. My school friend Sue Harper had a blue merle male called Bear, he was a wonderful dog who accompanied us on our many trail rides on the nearby Indian reservation. When I got married and moved to England, Sue told me he was an Australian Shepherd, and told me to get one when i got settled. Little did I know whilst i searched that the breed had yet to be imported into the UK, this was back in 1983. The breed did not arrive in the UK until 1985!
I finally got my first aussie in 1991 and as they say the rest is history!
Jem is my rock, he is also very much in love with this breed. He spends his days, looking after the tribe, doing all the mucky jobs that allows me to keep so many dogs.He has single handily build our lovely setup for the dogs, and is always looking for ways to make things better for the dogs
Whilst you will not find Jem in the conformation ring you will occasionally see him in the obedience ring with his special boy Alfie or favourite girl Hope . He has also done some working trial training so maybe that's his next sport.
We feel very strongly that every dog we breed whilst owned by others are still our babies.
We take an interest in all the dogs we have produced from the champions to couch potatoes
Temperament and health is foremost in every breeding we do.Being open and honest about all aspects of our dogs is also important to us. If you want to know something all you have to do is ask.
All our breeding stock is hip scored, elbow scored , annually eye tested as well as DNA tested for CEA/PRA, HSF4 and MDR1, as other tests come along to help ensure healthy dogs you can count on we will do them.
